Five significant factors are active this week, as described below.
Mercury Direct
About a week before and after today, you are likely experiencing substantial shifts and changes in your plans, decisions, negotiations, projects, and relationships because Mercury turned direct today. Also, the choices you made and the plans you started when Mercury was retrograde the past three weeks will likely be seen differently as unforeseen assumptions and mistakes “come to light” because Mercury, the planet ruling thinking and communication, is changing direction relative to the earth’s movement.
A Volatile Full Moon
As reported in my last newsletter, today’s challenging Full Moon will likely be disruptive. For the past week and continuing through this week, Sun 150 Uranus has brought more excitement, restlessness, impulsiveness, aggravations, and ego battles than usual with surprises, unexpected events, turbulent changes, and highly charged situations. Challenging Sun-Uranus aspects also increase the chances of natural disasters such as blizzards, hurricanes, tornadoes, and earthquakes as well as accidents, attacks, violence, protests, anarchy, and escalated military tensions.
Sun Square Neptune
If you feel a bit confused about your status, decisions, and future, you may want to blame Sun square Neptune. In effect the past few days and exact on Wednesday, Sun square Neptune aspects can create confusion, deception, escapism, disappointments, weakness, and illness, especially involving men. Negative aspects to Neptune allure, deceive, and glamorize. One must guard against naivety, deceit, false promises, and disappointments. Things may not be as they appear. There are possible blind spots.
Venus Trine Jupiter
This lovely, positive aspect involving a harmonious alignment between two benefic planets, Venus and Jupiter, becomes exact on Thursday evening. People with this aspect are typically blessed with material benefits and emotional well-being and contentment. Lady Luck is at their backs bringing them many pluses and benefits with little effort on their part.
The Winter Solstice
The first day of each season (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter) corresponds with the day the Sun enters the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn). In astrology, these are the cardinal signs because they are more initiating and action-oriented than the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) and the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces).
Therefore, Sun leaving Sagittarius and entering Capricorn on Saturday at 4:20 AM EST marks winter’s official start in the Northern Hemisphere and summer in the Southern Hemisphere. This shift from Sagittarius to Capricorn highlights the differences between these two signs.
Sagittarius is more open, flexible, idealistic, assuming, and exploratory. Capricorn is more set, guarded, doubtful, pragmatic, and focused. Sagittarius is more liberal and extravagant. Guidelines for Using This Information
These newsletters are not your typical sun sign column. They provide much more information and guidance, but it may be challenging to sort everything out with so many factors presented, even for astrology students. Therefore, I keep everything as clear and straightforward as possible.
The most critical factor with right timing is what is occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how favorable the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope. However, applying the information in these newsletters with common sense allows you to time your decisions and activities better.
The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the “stars” on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try: the better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference in important decisions and events.
Moon enters each zodiac sign about every 28 days and remains in each sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon is in your sun sign, matters will likely come more together for you on a short-term basis unless significant aspects are currently challenging your horoscope.
