Two Shifts & Two Challenges: Ed Kluska’s Astrology Timing Report, Sunday, September 22, 2024 (Gemini Cancer)

With Moon in Gemini from Sunday morning EDT until late Tuesday morning and then in Cancer until early Thursday evening, there are two shifts and two challenges to be aware of.

Sun Shift

Sun moves from duty-oriented Virgo to relationship-oriented Libra this morning, marking the Autumn Equinox and Fall’s official start. On an equinox, day and night are approximately equal duration all over the planet. For those living in the Northern Hemisphere, the daylight hours will continue to shorten until the Winter Solstice in December. For those living south of the equator, it’s the beginning of Spring.

Sun in Libra benefits the house in your horoscope ruled by Libra. It also creates an excellent time to focus on developing one of Libra’s positive qualities–seeing life more in terms of relationships, knowing that each viewpoint has advantages and disadvantages. In short, there are always two sides to every story.

Venus Shift

This evening, Venus, the planet related to love, money, comfort, and the arts, leaves Libra and enters the water sign Scorpio. This shift brings (good but not major) blessings and benefits to Scorpio and, to a lesser degree, the other water signs, Cancer and Pisces, and the house in your horoscope ruled by Scorpio until October 17 when it enters the next sign, Sagittarius.

Mercury-Neptune Challenge

In effect this past week and exact this Wednesday, Mercury opposite Neptune is favorable for imagination and creativity because it relates to the world of dreams, fantasy, fiction, art, music, movies, drama, and the psychic. However, with this aspect, you must be careful with your thinking and assumptions. The imagination associated with Neptune can get out of hand. Things can be too good to be true. The mind can play tricks on you. False assumptions are made. These effects are subtle but real. Mercury is thinking, and with a discordant Neptune, there can be lies, confusion, deception, faulty reasoning, and a lack of clarity.

This aspect is more relevant for those with their Sun, Moon, planets, and points around 28.5 degrees of Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Pisces.

Mars-Uranus Challenge

In effect this past week and exact this Wednesday, Mars 45 Uranus involves a discordant aspect between two high-energy planets, which often brings more excitement, restlessness, impulsiveness, and aggravation than normal. The status quo tends to be upset with surprises, unexpected events, turbulent changes, and highly charged situations.

People with a discordant Mars-Uranus aspect in their horoscope are typically bold, courageous, and freedom-loving, but also prone to obstinacy, intolerance, tensions, brutal frankness, rash acts, and accidents and injuries.

This aspect is more relevant for those with their Sun, Moon, planets, and points around 27 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Pisces.

Current Sun Sign Factors

These sun-sign assessments are only “the tip of the iceberg” for what you should know. Besides your Sun sign degree, there are many other factors to consider, which these newsletters cannot cover, such as the transits to your Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Ascendant, and Midheaven degrees. However, awareness of the current transits to your Sun’s position can be invaluable because the positions of the slower-moving planets (Jupiter in Gemini, Saturn in Pisces, Uranus in Taurus, Neptune in Pisces, and Pluto in Aquarius) can create significant trends and events in your life.

To use this information correctly, you need to know the degree of your Sun sign, but the degree of your Sun is not your date of birth. If you need to know the degree of your Sun, call me. I will calculate it for you.

Lunar Aspects

The most important Moon in Gemini and Cancer aspects are listed below. The descriptions do not intend to tell you what will happen in your life at the listed times. Instead, they provide some of the possibilities you can expect around the times given so you can plan your life more wisely. It is often apparent which time frames are better for timing a party, trip, decision, project, business, or other events.

Lunar aspects are in effect for a few hours (versus days) before and until the times given for the Eastern Time Zone. Therefore, you need to adjust the times for where you live. For example, if you live on the West Coast, there is a three-hour difference, so you must subtract three hours.

The plus (+) lunar aspects are favorable. The minus (-) lunar aspects are more likely to bring challenges or difficulties. Sometimes, there is a + and – lunar aspect, which can exhibit positive and negative influences.

Sunday, September 22

06:24 AM EDT Moon entered Gemini, where it will remain until late Tuesday morning, when it enters the next sign, Cancer.

Moon in Gemini boosts Gemini and, to a lesser degree, the other air signs, Libra and Aquarius. Moon in Gemini also helps any planets and points you have in Gemini and should help bring more things together for Gemini on a short-term basis.

Moon in Gemini supports anyone’s involvement with Gemini-related activities such as sales, teaching, writing, and intellectual pursuits; communicating and exchanging information by sending emails, writing letters, and calling friends; any social event that connects you with new acquaintances; exploring curiosity by reading a book, watching documentaries, and gathering information on

different topics; and short trips for fun, pleasure, and education.

Monday, September 23

07:58 AM – (Moon in Gemini 90 Saturn in Pisces) opportunities for orderly, steady, conscientious, pragmatic, and realistic plans and activities. However, this aspect can also be challenging because it is emotionally restrictive and can create issues, worries, and differences, especially involving females.

06:38 PM + (Moon in Gemini 00 Jupiter in Gemini) this wonderful once-a-month lunar aspect brings opportunities for any interpersonal situation, including meetings and working with the public. In addition, this lunar aspect increases the possibilities for kindness, benevolence, positive attitudes, shared feelings, and uplifting emotional support.

Tuesday, September 24

07:58 AM – (Moon in Gemini 90 Neptune in Pisces) opportunities for daydreaming, imagination, creativity, prayer, meditation, and highly refined artistic and spiritual feelings and aspirations. However, this aspect increases the possibilities for haziness and emotional confusion and is not ideal for logical discussions and clear-cut decisions.

10:18 AM – (Moon in Gemini 150 Pluto in Capricorn) opportunities for digging deeper into your emotions and feelings. However, this aspect can complicate relationships with subtle yet emotionally charged situations, including manipulation, hidden motives, and power struggles, although you may only fully realize these factors later.

10:18 AM Moon in Gemini Void until 10:50 AM EDT when it enters the next sign, Cancer.

This Void is less than one hour but note that there tends to be a lull in the energy levels during Void periods. As a result, what you start, or implement will likely to turn out differently than planned or expected. It’s usually better to do things with less significance or no purpose than to start something new and vital. If you have a new idea, meet someone new, or start a business, those activities are less likely to amount to much.

10:50 AM EDT Moon enters Cancer, where it will remain until early Thursday evening, when it enters the next sign, Leo.

Moon in Cancer boosts Cancer and, to a lesser degree, the other water signs, Scorpio and Pisces. Moon in Cancer also helps any planets and points you have in Cancer and should help bring more things together for Cancer on a short-term basis.

Moon in Cancer supports anyone’s involvement with Cancer-related activities such as being with and helping and nurturing family and friends; cooking, household duties, home decorating, and repairs; antiques, memories, and genealogy; and gardening, housing, real estate, land development, farming, and agriculture.

02:30 PM + (Moon in Cancer 120 Venus in Scorpio) opportunities for cooperation, cheerfulness, affection, pleasantries, gracefulness, emotional sharing, and artistic expression, especially when females are involved.

02:49 PM – (Moon in Cancer 90 Sun in Libra) a discordant aspect between Moon in the water sign Cancer and Sun in the air sign Libra.

10:56 PM + (Moon in Cancer 90 Node in Aries) opportunities for connecting with people via networking, social interactions, and alliances with large and small groups.

Wednesday, September 25

08:39 AM + – (Moon in Cancer 00 Mars in Cancer) this once-a-month lunar aspect brings opportunities for bolder and more direct actions. However, this aspect magnifies feelings and passions, which can bring impatience, rashness, impulsiveness, anger, and even forceful actions.

08:50 AM – (Moon in Cancer 45 Uranus in Taurus) opportunities for increased instincts, willfulness, and aspirations regarding anything new, different, exciting, and adventuresome. However, this aspect also brings nervousness, anxiety, upsets, restlessness, excitability, volatility, and emotionally charged situations.

Thursday, September 26

03:38 PM + (Moon in Cancer 120 Neptune in Pisces) opportunities for daydreaming, imagination, creativity, prayer, meditation, and highly refined artistic and spiritual feelings and aspirations.

06:12 PM – (Moon in Cancer 180 Pluto in Capricorn) opportunities for digging deeper into your emotions and feelings. However, this aspect can complicate relationships with subtle yet emotionally charged situations, including manipulation, hidden motives, and power struggles, although you may only fully realize these factors later.

06:47 PM Moon enters the next sign, Leo.

Guidelines for Using This Information

These newsletters are not your typical sun sign column. They provide much more information and guidance, but it may be challenging to sort everything out with so many factors presented, even for astrology students. Therefore, I keep everything as clear and straightforward as possible.

The most critical factor with right timing is what is occurring in your horoscope. When negative aspects dominate your horoscope, the chances of success with right timing diminish no matter how favorable the aspects are in the sky. These newsletters cannot cover what is occurring in your horoscope. However, applying the information in these newsletters with common sense allows you to time your decisions and activities better.

The basic premise with right timing is that it helps to have the “stars” on your side. Starting a marriage, trip, surgery, business, real estate deal, or a major purchase, for example, at an inopportune time reduces the chances of success no matter how good your intentions and how hard you try: the better the timing, the higher your chances of success. Even an hour can make a significant difference in important decisions and events.

Moon enters each zodiac sign about every 28 days and remains in each sign for about two and a half days. When the Moon is in your sun sign, matters will likely come more together for you on a short-term basis unless significant aspects are currently challenging your horoscope.

The traits and qualities I assign to the signs in these newsletters describe the signs’ functions and meanings versus describing your personality. However, the descriptions may be entirely accurate for you. Furthermore, to understand a person’s personality and character from an astrological perspective, dozens of factors besides one’s sun sign must be considered.

Contact me to know what’s going on in your horoscope and to make better decisions at better times. We will schedule a private consultation at my office or on the phone so you can know more about your future and better understand the issues and opportunities in your life as well as your relationships, job, career, education, finances, children, parents, travel, health, location, retirement, karma, and purpose in life.
